Any correspondence relating to the product or service you’re seeking advice on. It is also helpful if you bring high-level information about your finances, such as savings, investments, mortgages, pensions, and insurance policies.

No, at the end of the initial meeting, you should walk away with a clear idea of how we can help you. You should leave that meeting asking yourself the following questions: ‘Does this adviser understand me? Does the adviser give me confidence that they can help me achieve my goal?’ Answer to these questions should help you decide if you should engage in a follow-up meeting.

Not always, and it depends on what you’re trying to do. Our experience shows that some financial decisions have greater consequences than others, and some actions may be irrevocable, resulting in significant unintended tax implications – it’s these actions where you should always seek advice.

Although there is no minimum limit, we feel it’s difficult for us to add value to individuals with less than £50,000.

Our advice is not free. You will pay a fee based on the value of your investments and pension funds. The amount you pay will depend on the complexity of the work we need to undertake. The actual cost, in percentage terms and in pounds and pence, will be confirmed to you via illustrations and presented before you proceed, so you can make an informed decision if you wish to engage with us. You’ll only be charged if you decide to act on our recommendations.

The value of advice can be subjective, although a study conducted by the International Longevity Centre UK (ILC) in partnership with Royal London highlighted that a person who uses a financial adviser is, on average, £47,000 better off when they retire.

We can provide both types of advice service. However, most of our clients prefer to work with us on an ongoing basis, so as their circumstances change and the government adjusts various tax thresholds and legislation, we can adapt their plans accordingly.
